It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like,
it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.
On the way back home from a quick afternoon (after dinner :) walk. My wife noticed a little butterfly sitting right in the middle of a side walk. "Well hello there my little friend" I said, and quickly grabbed him and put him in a paper box I just happen to have with me, and that's how this Focus Stacking, Kenko tubed, Reverse Lens, Super Macro blog post begins ...
... share it with others, go on, do it ...
I decided to step it up a bit for this family photo-shoot. I took a trip to Winners and picked up a bunch of props that we ended up using in the shoot. My wife bought some fabrics, some baskets and an aluminum pan to photograph the baby in. We didn`t end up using all of them but the ones that we did use, worked out beautifully.
This weekend proved to be highly PHOTOGRAPHIC. Baby studio photo-shoot Saturday morning, a quick drive up to Rattlesnake Point to get the kids to fall a sleep where I photographed some Ontario Flowers, and then a maternity studio photo-shoot in the evening. Next day we gathered up the family to hit Mountsberg Conservation Area for a great photo outing with the Oakville Camera Club.
Good friends good photos, what more can we ask for?
It was one of the windiest days this year but that didn't stop us from going to the backyard and letting the kids run around and play with the sand. The sun was quickly setting behind our neighbour's houses so I only had about 15 minute window to shoot some backlit portraits of the kids.
